As the confinement is still going on, let’s celebrate freedom, joy, colours and the decade that best sums up this positive attitude: the 70s. for summer 2020 we celebrate the grand return of this theme, which has kind of always been part of the dress code. let’s recall that hedi slimane at celine made it one of his trademarks with tributes to these famous years. but be aware that it’s not about copying the looks, but of updating them and making them modern. how?through new floral prints added to long sensual dresses which are magnified and become more colourful. a gypsy style that’s also joyful and happy. flowers are worn on everything including jackets, shirts and even as a total look for trouser suits. another idea is to add a personal touch, like a reminder, a note that allows us to escape. we especially like the colourful sleeveless jumpers, large glasses that cover part of the face with so much style or the many hair accessories, from turbans to chic head scarves seen at the yves saint laurent show. and precisely the 70s are also synonymous with music, with wild disco, with textures that shine and which are always impressive. so we dare the sparkling outfit, flared trousers and jackets with supported shoulders, and which also have been so well imagined by zendaya for the collection co-created with tommy hilfiger. (interview)and the collection presented in the legendary apollo theatre in new york was only a brief example of the outfits to dare to adopt, of course while dancing and singing, to keep this positive attitude all summer!interview with tommy hilfiger:she brought us the whole idea of doing the 70s. we’ve done 70s before with an item or a product here and there, but not a full entirety, not a full range, so we’re really excited to show the entire range.
