The tod’s club set up at villa necchi to present the new autumn/winter 2020 collection designed by walter chiapponi, who has recently become the creative director of the italian brand. collection: the men’s wardrobe is inspired by the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. a wardrobe made up of classic and chic pieces for a new generation of men. note a military influence for jackets, parkas and large khaki canvas bags. some vintage-style silhouettes with flared trousers and point collar polo shirts, but also many outerwear proposals with bomber jackets or parkas with leather additions. for the evening, these gentlemen pose in tuxedo jackets worn over a fine black turtleneck and patent leather shoes, creating a new contemporary elegance. focus on the winter gommino boots and the new t buckle revisited on bags and loafers. interview with diego della vall:for us, more or less, it’s the same strategy, it’s the factory business model and walter just arrived and he now controls all the group of designers, all the different sections of the brand, the accessories, ready-to-wear, men and women, it is a lot of people. the idea is to do what we know, the super quality, the italian lifestyle plus the modernity and the funny sense of life, maybe this is the new message but we don’t want to change our image and the base of our story.people with a big sensitivity for the real thing, a big sensitivity for the sustainability problems, it is very interesting, it is the future.
