ISSEY MIYAKE - Women's Spring/Summer 2020 collection in Paris

access_time 00:02:00

Artistic director for the women’s line: satoshi kondoinspiration: the first collection for satoshi kondo, the new head designer of the label, filled with energy and positive vibes. a new summer wardrobe that celebrates freedom of movement and comfort through a show divided into several scenes played by dancers, skaters and models…collection: the first dancers wear powdery and raspberry pink dresses and jumpsuits, so light they seem to forget their clothes.then follow several looks with brightly coloured graphic coats, trouser suits or dresses with straps. the basics for all times of the day recreated under miyake’s touch.focus on two moments: the skateboarding girls, very comfortable and joyful, wearing super fine nylon raincoats, trousers or jumpsuits, flowing in the wind and not in any way restricting their movement.then three girls appear underneath and open their arms to receive, coming from the ceiling, three pleated dresses that slide onto their bodies. once slipped on, the girls start dancing and their dresses bounce, following their movement. this will be the image we will remember, technical mastery going hand in hand with the comfort and life of today. a rather spectacular and very successful first collection.music from the show (for use only in context of the show, under cover of the right to information).
