House of Holland - Women's Spring/Summer 2020 collection in London (with interview)

Designer: henry hollandinspiration: the british designer did his fashion show outside in the new fashionable district of ‘’coal drops yard’’, and wanted, in this circular staging, to reference dance, reminiscing on the 1970’s disco and the 90s rave culture. collection: multiple dresses, camisoles with thin straps to short models, with drapes and sleeves made of satins, lurex and guipure laces. colour schemes with metallic touches, prints and polka dots and gradient colours. suits with structured jackets are also present. to note: ending with the collaboration of house of holland and xtep, a giant chinese sports brand, which will be sold in november. interview with henry holland:i mean my clothes are all about a really fun, playful attitude. my clothes have a really strong personality and that’s really what i try to build into my shows through the music, through the set and through the clothes themselves and that really just shone through today. this is for a girl who wants to have a good time and is ready to have fun. so the tailoring has become a really strong part of our business and so that’s something we’ve moved forward this season. there’s lots more structure to the jackets, they have a wider lapel, they’re more tuxedo detailing with the chain buttons. so the finale, we’ve done a collaborative sports collection with a leading chinese sportswear brand called xtep. that was just introducing that collection to the audience while we had them. it delivers in november so it’s slightly different prints but that’s more of a “see now buy now” element that was incorporated into the show.music from the show (for use only in context of the show, under cover of the right to information).
