Designer: giambattista valliinspiration: valli’s most parisian woman ever. the italian designer celebrates paris in his own way creating a meeting through clothing between the photographer guy bourdin and impressionism with a walk in the jardins de giverny.collection: flowers are in the limelight through multiple dresses possessing drapes on the front, with structured shoulders and a bow scarf tied around the neck. cut-outs on the stomach allow the body to be seen adding sensuality. the designer proposes sleeveless jackets, leather blousons and a belted coat. even the grey bermuda-jumpsuit is worn with ease and elegance reinforcing an urban spirit.note: trains of dresses in pink tones& lace-up boots and feathered shoes.interview with giambattista valli:the idea of guy bourdin and about seeing some girls going for a walk and the conversation they have between them. there are no men really, there is just this voyeuristic side of someone really parisian and french because the collection is very parisian. all the beginning parts come in paris’ wintery colours like the sky and all its tones including pale lilac, grey, black and white. and little by little they go into the gardens and dress themselves in flowers which starts the idea of flowers painted in an impressionist way looking through guy bourdin’s irreverent eyes.this collection was about giving freedom to go for a walk. there are all these draped skirts that are slightly open to present the idea of people walking freely and a bit naked mixed with the more hidden idea of volume through shoulders and even through sleeves to add a poetic aspect.music from the show (for use only in context of the show, under cover of the right to information).
