Designer: Manish AroraInspiration: Joyful decadence with women coming straight out of a Madmax universe or the famous Burning Man festival, a « futuristic hippy » spirit translated through colours and embroideries according to Manish Arora. A spiritual touch through the choice of location, the American Church in Paris.Collection: Big capes that become pieces of art with multiple embellishments: embroideries, feathers, pearls, stones and crystals.Trousers are worn with short cropped tops and quilted hearts appear on the front of skirts. The designer adds a touch of sportswear with hoodies, short denim jackets and high-top florescent trainers.A Native American touch with fringes and feather helmets.Note: Original accessories with bags in the shape of fish, boats and horse trailers as well as backpacks with LED panels communicating messages.Interview with Manish Arora: I’m Indian, I love over the top and of course our speciality is embellishment, I mean I think the way Indians do embroidery nobody else can do. So if I’m doing a show and showing my work in France or wherever else outside India it’s obvious that I take my country with me, otherwise I’d be lost like thousands and millions of other designers. Interview with Choupo-Moting:What Manish does is extraordinary. He doesn’t just create fashion, he also adds a message to it and for me its love, peace and happiness and I love his clothes.Music from the show (for use only in context of the show, under cover of the right to information).
