After various celebrations, debuts and anniversaries, fashion month also saw many announcements regarding changes and nominations of designers.and so, after many months of waiting, lacoste has finally revealed the name of their new creative director: louise trotter. the british women, who previously worked for joseph, has joined the french fashion house and will present her first show during the next fashion week.the second announcement, comes from guillaume henry for jean patou. the designer, who renewed the fashion house carven and who spent a few seasons with more difficulties at nina ricci, joins the mythical brand jean patou, which now belongs to the lvmh group. it will be exciting to see how he awakens this sleepy brand.for nina ricci, the renowned duo and finalists of the grand prix at hyères festival, rushemy botter and lisi herrebrugh from the brand botter take control as artistic directors.the last announcement that shook the fashion industry: jean-charles de castelbajac takes the artistic reins for benetton. the underperforming italian brand, is counting on this talented designer to reintroduce colour to the fashion house.finally, it’s important to highlight that versace has just been bought by the american brand michael kors for just over 1.8 billion dollars.without forgetting, the latest announcement by nicolas ghesquière, the current artistic director for louis vuitton, who apparently, has just obtained the green light by lvmh, for the possibility to create his own line. would he have something to show us soon? a story to follow in the up and coming months.
