Carven- Fashion Show Ready to Wear Spring-Summer 2016 in Paris (with interview)

access_time 00:02:13

A second collection for the young carven duo, alexis martial and adrien caillaudaud. the outlines of the carven girls are emerging more and more. a girl with a sharp silhouette, high waist, short stature, who wears trousers that complement the body, just as well as a delicately pleated, evanescent, printed mini dress or hot pants in geometric cuts. worked, technical fabrics and exclusive patterns. a sporty spirit is expressed through short jackets, a colourful polo shirt and a sweatshirt decorated with a diver who catches the eye. a very current modern, and urban wardrobe…interview from: alexis martial & adrien caillaudaudwe wanted to continue with what we started to establish in terms of a silhouette, we wanted to give it a bit more of free spirit this season, and of course with the summer it was easier, we like to say the carven girl was on holiday. so she went to the sea, she takes her boat and she starts to explore the ocean floor. that's where the idea from, and keeping all the silhouettes with a high waist, hot pants, miniskirts and trousers, is really the stamp that we want carven to have.its more than being sporty, it’s more an urban feeling because today you see sport everywhere and we like to take these little details and root them out then really make something wearable, and something that is not that sporty in the end. it is true, in the show we used wet suit details that became evening dresses worked in duchess satin. we enormously developed the fabrics for this collection, devoured the prints, cut jacquard, used quite a lot of cloqué fabric, and special weaves with threads going through the middle.we also wanted to work this accessible couture side, and successfully find a way to make clothes that appear very worked with couture seams on the inside but whilst making it available to all. music of the show
