Never before had Milan Fashion Week Men showcased so many new international labels, notably Tíscar Espadas and Mans from Spain, Franc Elis and Zenam from Africa, and 424 from California, all waiting to be discovered.
The almost fully virtual fashion week runs until Tuesday, with only Armani, Dolce & Gabbana and Etro hosting physical shows. Highlights include the first collection by Glenn Martens for Diesel and eight new labels.
Designed to provide more equal access at some of the world’s top creative institutions, the project involves partnerships with Central Saint Martins, the Parsons School of Design and Institut Français de la Mode.
Just when one thought that you’d expire from the lack of any new fashion in London Fashion Week’s debut digital season, along came Tiscar Espadas, Xander Zhou and Ka Wa Key with some genuinely new clothes.
