British shoe company Hotter has hired a senior designer and two freelance designers to work alongside chief product officer Claire Pearl on a more “stylish and modern” aesthetic ahead of its 60th anniversary next year.
Fashion trade show Moda has announced a stellar line-up of British and international footwear brands for its upcoming August event, including Fly London, Rieker, Alpe, Peter Kaiser, Moda in Pelle, Hotter and Superga.
The UK’s Which? Magazine has published its regular annual list of the best and worst UK retailers, and while fashion names don’t figure at the very top and the very bottom of the list, they come close.
The brand was one of only few large British footwear brands in possession of UK manufacturing facilities. The move will affect about 35 jobs and end the brand’s attempt to bring manufacturing back to Britain.
