The president of YNAP’s fashion division, in charge of Yoox and The Outnet, explained to FashionNetwork.com how Yoox became a leading fashion and luxury e-tailer, and talked about the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
As part of its ongoing efforts to support gender diversity in tech roles, YNAP is launching a new internal sponsorship program. This sees it pairing rising female tech talent with senior leaders in its business.
One of the pioneers of online luxury retail, Yoox Net-A-Porter’s CEO Federico Marchetti, is to step down from his role in charge of the Richemont-owned group, although he will stay on as chair of the firm.
High-end e-tail giant Yoox Net-A-Porter has named Nisreen Shocair as its CEO, Middle East. She joins with “extensive global retail and e-commerce expertise, holding senior positions in the UAE and New York”.
Yoox Net-A-Porter has named Fiona Firth managing director of its luxury menswear e-tailer Mr Porter. Firth hasn’t been brought in from outside but has been buying director at the operation since April 2016.
Yoox Net-A-Porter has cut the ribbon on a new tech hub at its headquarters near Bologna, Italy. The facility will be home to 250 employees, who will be tasked with pushing the group’s shopping experience forward.
A collection by the students and artisans backed by the foundation will go on sale in mid-2020 on Yoox, Net-A-Porter, Mr Porter and The Outnet, and the proceeds will fund some of the foundation’s charity work.
