Unilever has joined the group of brands choosing not to advertise on Facebook for a period of time, but its marketing VP Aline Santos said the decision was not directly related to the ‘Stop Hate for Profit’ campaign.
Unilever said on Friday it will stop advertising on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter in the United States for the rest of the year, citing "divisiveness and hate speech during this polarized election period in the U.S."
Disruptor US eyewear brand Privé Revaux has expanded into Europe, having struck an exclusive deal with retailer GrandVision for its chains in the UK, Germany, Poland, Belgium, the Netherlands and Turkey.
The brand said it has already started delivering these products, including 15,000 goods through 2,500 care packages. The boxes include items from Dove, Dove Men+Care and Baby Dove to support frontline NHS staff.
