The Autumn Editions of Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics, Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles and Yarn Expo have been postponed to October 9-11, 2021 due to the sudden rise of COVID-19 cases in China.
Intertextile, Yarn Expo, Chic and PH Value, scheduled in Shanghai on March 10-12, have been postponed. FashionNetwork.com has learned the possible new dates are March 17-19, if the authorities give the green light.
Intertextile, Chic, PH Value and Yarn Expo, held on September 23-25, attracted up to 73,500 visitors. A sign that recovery has started, say the organisers, who boosted the online tools integrating the physical shows.
Première Vision Paris and the Fairyland for Fashion shows (with Texworld and Apparel Sourcing) ended up hosting just under half of the Chinese exhibitors expected, and all reported big declines in visitor attendance.
Zhang Tao, secretary general of China’s textile industry body CCPIT-Tex, spoke to FashionNetwork.com about the difficulties faced by the industry, as many Chinese exhibitors dropped out of the Texworld show in Paris.
One of the largest textile sourcing shows on the East Coast, Texworld USA will come to NYC's Javits Center for a round of talks on sustainability and more. The trade show will run from January 21 through January 23.
