Zalando signs deal to launch Tommy x Gigi collection in Europe
The coveted collaboration will be available to shop exclusively via Zalando from September 1 to September 9, becoming available also via other channels from September 10 onwards.
The collection, designed in collaboration with supermodel and brand ambassador Gigi Hadid, blends her West Coast style with Hilfiger’s signature East Coast influences. Effortless, youthful and cool, the collection fuses feminine silhouettes and sporty-chic details to create a luxury nautical dream.
“Gigi Hadid is one of the world’s top models and most-followed fashion influencers, and we are thrilled to welcome her to the Tommy family,” said Tommy Hilfiger. “Our collaborative collection is a new take on nautical with a playful, romantic edge. It has been a true partnership – Gigi and I worked closely together on each and every element; she was completely honest throughout the process and the results are a reflection of her passion and creativity.”
For the collection’s European debut, Gigi Hadid will make an appearance at Zalando’s Berlin trend show Bread&Butter on September 2. The Tommy x Gigi range will be showcased in a dedicated installation, which will feature a state-of-the-art shopping experience.
The social media phenomenon has also worked with Zalando on a creative media campaign. The 90-second film shows the model getting ready for a big trip overseas and packing up her collection in a Zalando vintage trunk.
