Wrangler collaborates with Vans

In August, VF Corp announced that it planned to create a separate structure for its two denim brands, Lee and Wrangler. Despite this announcement, the group has partnered Wrangler with one of its flagship brands, Vans, for a denim collaboration.

The western heritage of Wrangler has met the iconic checkerboard of Vans - DR

The collaborative collection launched on September 1 and is currently available exclusively on the Wrangler e-commerce site. The capsule collection features a pair of jeans and a jacket for men and for women as well as a skirt. The prince range is more that of Vans products than Wrangler with items ranging from €59.95 ($70) to €99.95 and €49.95 for a backpack.

The line is presented as a premium capsule collection and prices have been fixed to be more accessible. This is most likely to allow the collection to reach a larger audience.

The collaboration sees Wrangler harness its western heritage and reinterpret it in a modern way while Vans has contributed its iconic checkerboard print for the lining of jackets and bottoms of jeans, to be seen in flashes on the inside of the garments.
