Wolford has found its CEO in Ashish Sensarma

Published
Dec 16, 2014

Wolford has a new chief executive officer. The Italian premium hosiery and lingerie specialist has finally appointed Holger Dahmen's successor, nearly a year after his departure. Ashish Sensarma will thus take on the reins of CEO on 7 January.

Wolford fall-winter 14/15.

Ashish Sensarma spent over twenty years at Mexx, from 1984 to 2006, climbing the commercial ladder until finally becoming one of the Vice Presidents. Since then he has worked for private equity fund Fashion Fund One, Vilebrequin as COO for nearly five years, until the end of 2012, and most recently as an advisor for several companies outside of the fashion world.

The new CEO of Wolford will work together with the Director of Operations who has been serving as the interim manager, Axel Dreher, and with Financial Director Thomas Melzer.

Their joint mission will be to bring profits back to the company and keep them there. Despite a stable sales figure of approximately 156 million for the 2013/2014 fiscal year, the Austrian brand did indeed record losses for the second consecutive year. While sales dropped in the first quarter of the current financial year, closed at the end of October, Wolford managed to return to positive numbers and wants to maintain this trend for the second quarter.
