Wilco Prins elected Chairman of Eurosima

There is a history of succession between Frédéric Basse and Wilco Prins. Three years ago, the former handed over the management of Rip Curl Europe to the latter.

Nine years after taking over from François Payot as Eurosima Chairman, Frédéric Basse has now decided to step down from the top spot in the association that represents the European board sport industry, and is based in the South-West of France.

Once again Wilco Prins, who always worked at Rip Curl, has stepped up to assume the mantle. He was elected on 27th May, at the association's AGM. Prins is just shy of 40 and has taken on Frédéric Basse's role until 2017. His mission will be to take charge of the ongoing projects, but also, as the association stated in a press release, "to let a new generation take command of the industry."
