White Stuff launches German website
White Stuff, the British lifestyle and clothing retailer, has introduced its first native language website, in Germany.
White Stuff says the new transactional site offers a "genuine, local shopping experience" and is managed in-house. The retailer recruited a number of German-speaking roles across the business and the site will have a full digital and offline marketing campaign.
Orders will be shipped from the UK, but White Stuff has a German based facility for returns. The company has also introduced two new shipping thresholds and now offers free standard delivery for orders over €50, and free express delivery over €150.
Head of e-commerce, and the project's leader, Ben Mercier, says: 'As a multichannel player with two stand-alone shops in Germany already and a roster of further shops opening in the next 12 months, a German website seemed like a natural progression, enabling us to market products locally, in the native language and currency.'
