Now it has been acquired by Real Estate Partners (REP) together with BrandSpots, a REP company.

We Are Pop Up launched in 2012 with the intention of connecting brands with landlords seeking to fill empty spaces, and had locations in London and New York. Its 25,000 registered users included global brands such as Adidas, Google, Sonos and Urban Outfitters.

REP Chairman Leon Goldwater said: "We Are Pop Up is an exciting platform with a well-established presence in the retail market. Together with BrandSpots co-founder Ilona Taillade, we look forward to building on this success and bringing the expertise and investment required to take We Are Pop Up to the next level."

On We Are Pop Up's website, he stated: "First and foremost we will be working to ensure continuity of service for We Are Pop Up’s customers and partners. Since 2012 the company has created an exciting network of multinational companies and startup entrepreneurs across more than 25 countries; we are committed to maintaining your support and building for the future together."

The company closed down on April 12, and said then that customers who have made bookings with We Are Pop Up will see their bookings honoured.
