Wacoal scores top design award at lingerie trade show
Lingerie brand Wacoal has been awarded Designer of the Year by Eurovet, the organiser behind some of the world’s leading shows in the lingerie and swimwear industry including Salon International de la Lingerie and Interfilière.
The lingerie brand, which is part of Wacoal Europe alongside Fantasie, Freya, Elomi and Goddess, has been chosen for its ‘highly creative design and innovative product’. It will be honoured by Eurovet at the Salon International de la Lingerie in Paris in January.
Wacoal Lingerie Director Sachiyo Wakashiro said: “We are delighted that Wacoal has been awarded Designer of the Year and I would like to thank everyone at Eurovet as well as our customers and suppliers for their continued support.
“We are constantly pushing the boundaries of Wacoal’s product development and always looking at how we can apply new technology into our design – using the most innovative fabrics and techniques.”
Founded in 1946, Wacoal's bras are available up to an H cup.
“We have received a fantastic reaction to our Sexy Shaping range, a shapewear collection which really is unique to the market. The range has been developed to look stylish, with a variety of pieces available you can wear each piece to create a completely matching Sexy Shaping look,” Wakashiro said.
The company is also gearing up to introduce its new collection Opulence for AW18, which has been developed with expertise from its research centre in Japan.
