After showing for many years in Paris, Vivienne Westwood has now opened its first store in the French capital, its first in France too. The 300 m² premises are located at 175, rue Saint-Honoré, inside an XVIIIth century building which over the years has been home to a chocolatier, a musical instruments factory and a music publishing house!

The building is graced by an inner courtyard dating back to 1927. It is  home also to the British designer's Paris showroom and offices.

The new store extends over two levels and showcases the fashion label's three apparel lines: Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood (the former Gold line, showing in Paris), Vivienne Westwood Homme and Femme, and Anglomania, as well as the accessories.

The fashion label's press release describes the store's atmosphere as warm, with its many rugs and fabric-built furniture. The new interiors concept combine sustainable, raw and natural materials such as resin, steel and plywood. The new concept is going to be applied to the label's other stores worldwide.

Vivienne Westwood generated a revenue of €40 million in 2015, and has recently made radical changes to its organisation. It announced that for the Autumn/Winter 2017-18 it will introduce a ready-to-wear collection for women and men under the same label, to be presented at London Collections Men next January.

This season Vivienne Westwood has also adopted the 'see now, buy now' approach. After the show held on Saturday 1st October in Paris, it gave clients the possibility to make immediate advance purchases from a 20-item unisex capsule collection available only at the Paris, London, Milan and Los Angeles stores, as well as on the brand's website.
