Value Retail to bring Valley Village to Shanghai

Building on the success of its neighboring Disneyland Paris outlet, and following the launch of its first Chinese outlet in Suzhou in spring, Value Retail will launch a new brand village in Fall 2015 near Shanghai Disneyland.

Value Retail’s Shanghai Village

The 5,300,000-ft² project will be located near the park, in the Pudong district, near the Chinese metropolis’ international airport. Located 40-60 minutes from downtown Shanghai, the project is aimed at both tourists and the region’s 330 million inhabitants.

It will certainly have points in common with La Vallée Village, the success of which Value Retail has highlighted over the last fifteen years and which shares a similar set-up, although with more measured proportions.

Currently, the names of future brand tenants have not yet been announced. However, it will undoubtedly welcome a large proportion of international brands that already make up Suzhou Village, Value Retail’s first Chinese project launched last May.

The latter, which sees 250 million visitors a year, includes brands such as Armani, Eagle, Aleander McQueen, Coach, Dunhill, Furla, Gucci, Givenchy Hugo Boss, Michael Kors, Lacoste and Tod's.

Value Retail currently oversees a network of nine European villages, distributed between France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Belgium and the United Kingdom.
