Ugg debuts collaboration with Preen by Thornton Bregazzi at LFW

Ugg recently debuted an exclusive collaboration with Preen by Thornton Bregazzi at London Fashion Week. The two-piece footwear collection will be available in stores and online in February 2017.

 
The footwear company moved away from its signature cold weather styling for modern and playful sandals fit for the summer. The first style, Raven Bow, features an oversized bow, braid detail and adjustable utilitarian straps, while the second style, Moon Bow, features a similar bow and strap as well as a chunky platform sole. Both styles are available in black and white.
 
Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi of Preen by Thornton Bregazzi said, “The shoes are part of ‘Tokyo Pastel Goths' and in part the seamless gloss of Jeff Koons manipulations of balloon and bow Art. We worked with UGG to develop runway shoes that are effortless and edgy, cute and tough, it’s all about the attitude.”

Andrea O’Donnell, President, Fashion Lifestyle at Deckers Brands added that Ugg has wanted to partner with Preen by Thornton Bregazzi for some time. “Much like us they have always done their own thing, regardless of trend and they continue to re-invent the idea of femininity,” said O’Donnell. “The product delivers a different fashion edge for us.”
 
Thornton and Bregazzi founded their brand in 1996 and debuted at London Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2001. The duo moved their runway show to New York City for Spring/Summer 2008 and moved back to London for Spring/Summer 2013. Preen by Thornton Bregazzi now designs 6 collections a year as well as eyewear and shoes. Following the Spring/Summer 2017 show, the brand made 6 styles immediately available on its website.
 
The collaboration footwear will be available for purchase through UGG channels worldwide and a selection of exclusive wholesale stockists.
