Topshop’s Oxford Circus store evacuated over fire alert

Topshop’s five-story flagship store on Oxford Street was evacuated on Saturday, after a fire broke out at around 3:30 pm. Shoppers were asked to leave the Central London building, while fire crews investigated the blaze, which is believed to have originated in the basement.
According to media reports, no injuries were reported and no stock was damaged.
The flagship store, which has dedicated floors for womenswear, menswear, shoes and accessories, reopened one hour after the incident with no noticeable damage.
