Tod’s to present at Milan Fashion Week for the first time

Preparations are underway at Tod’s, as the brand gears up to present its womeanswear collection at Milan Fashion Week in September. The footwear and leather goods specialist will hold the show in Milan’s contemporary art gallery, the PAC (Padiglione d’Arte Contemporanea). The show will be the world’s first glimpse at the work of ex- Gucci and Valentino designer Alessandra Fachinetti who joined the Italian brand as creative director in February.

The footwear brand has recently invested in the development of its ready-to-wear collection, wishing to offer clients a head-to-toe Tod’s look. Until now, ready-to-wear had always taken a back seat to the company’s main attractions - its shoes and its bags - with previous creative director Derek Lam designing several leather pieces before he left the brand last autumn.
