Tony Björk, currently managing director for the brand in Scandinavia, has been also announced as managing director for the UK and Ireland, effectively immediately. He will succeed Jon Crossick, who left the company in April after five years in charge. Björk has been with Thomas Sabo for over five years.

Meanwhile, Darrell Granton, currently national sales manager for the UK & Ireland has been appointed to replace Nick Callegari as new head of wholesale, after luxury brand Tag Heuer poached the executive for a commercial director role.

This is the third high-profile departure from the brand in recent months, following Jon Crossick and head of marketing and PR Louisa Hopwood.

Brand founder Thomas Sabo said of Tont Björk’s appointment: “I’m very pleased that Tony has decided to add the UK to his portfolio – he has been an excellent leader in the Scandinavian marketplace, and with Tony, I see the firm in a strong position for its future growth in the UK too.”

Björk added: “I’m very excited to be joining the UK, after having worked for the brand for the last few years, I really believe we have strong foundations; which can only continue to grow, and with the launch of our Autumn Winter collection in the next few weeks, we will be putting various plans into place in order to continue to develop the brand in the marketplace, so stay tuned.”

The German jewellery brand has more than 22 stores across the UK and is stocked in multi-brand retailers including John Lewis and Beaverbrooks.
