Leading British luxury label Stella McCartney announced the creation of its first complete swim collection, scheduled to launch in July 2016. The range will comprise seven stories, each evoking the designer’s design sensibility and her signature silhouettes and colour palette.

The line will cost from $80 to $324 - Stella McCartney

“This collection is really inspired by all types of women and I want this swimwear collection to encourage women to feel confident, comfortable and incredible about themselves and in what they are wearing,” said the brand’s creative director and founder, Stella McCartney.

Incorporating details from the designer’s ready-to-wear collection, the range will be divided into the styles Miracle, Neoprene & Mesh, Stripe, Crochet, Iconic Print, Mixed Animal and Timeless Basics.

In addition to bikinis and one pieces, the collection will also carry swim apparel and accessories. Highlights include a bikini set made of water resistant hand spun cotton embellished with delicate gold charms, rashguards in long and cropped versions, and sustainable beach totes made in Kenya.

The collection is set to be sold in the brand’s boutiques and online, as well as at Harvey Nichols, Harrods, Selfridges, Matches, Saks Fifth Avenue, David Jones, Myer, Net-aPorter and MyTheresa. It will cost from $80 for a bikini bottom to $324 for a one piece.
