Skechers Performance launches limited-edition LA Marathon collection
Skechers has created a limited edition performance apparel and footwear collection to celebrate its title sponsorship of this weekend's LA Marathon.
Michael Greenberg, president of Skechers said, "The Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon is the marquee event for Skechers Performance and meaningful for us to be a part of as we are based in Los Angeles and take so much inspiration from the surrounding community."
The limited-edition apparel and performance footwear collection includes the Go Run Forza 3TM style and Skechers Go Meb Razor 2 styles for women, as well as flip flops. Women's apparel includes running shorts, tights, bras, tanks and tees, and the collection also includes men's tees.
The design story was led by the race's history beginning in 1986 and takes graphic inspiration from the "stadium to the sea" course map.
Skechers' title sponsorship includes branded experiential activations for the event. Skechers destinations include the pre-race Health and Fitness expo, and branded cheer zones on the course set up with Skechers charity partner Angel City Pit Bulls.
Skechers Performance athlete and four-time Olympian Meb Keflezigh will put in an appearance at the expo on Saturday before the race.
Skechers Performance launched in 2011 and its performance line, Go Run, has since earned industry awards and recognition in the running world. This is the third year Skechers Performance has sponsored the LA Marathon.
The Skechers Performance LA Marathon product is now available online and at select Skechers retail stores. Prices range from $29 for tanks and shorts to $140 for running shoes. The LA Marathon takes place March 18, 2018.
