Luxury Italian footwear brand Sergio Rossi has announced the departure of Angelo Ruggeri who served as the design director since 2013.

Ruggeri developed the brand's shoe collections and also helmed Sergio Rossi's men's division.

His latest shoe collection in February took inspiration from the 20s, with ankle-strap d'Orsay pumps and soft velvet platform sandals with sequins.

The brand has 80 stores in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, the US, Southeast Asia and Japan.

Goods are produced in San Mauro Pascoli, Italy, known as one of the country's leather goods hubs.
