Luxury footwear designer Rupert Sanderson, whose designs are regularly worn by Kate Middleton, has teamed up with Dune to launch an affordable collection of statement heels, court shoes and sandals for this summer.

While mainline Rupert Sanderson shoes cost around £495, the collection for Dune will start at £145, offering a more budget-friendly option for customers who enjoy his chic creations.

Dune London said the collaboration with the designer was “inevitable” as Sanderson’s shoes have become synonymous with understated British elegance and style.

“I have always been a great admirer of Rupert’s ranges. His shoes are always beautifully crafted with great emphasis on shape and cut.  Every aspect of his shoes is well balanced and just right. He doesn’t compromise”, said Dune executive chairman Daniel Rubin.

“We have strived to achieve these standards, albeit a different level, at Dune. That’s why I was so excited to collaborate with him on this project.”

Launching on 1 April, the line comprises six styles in a range of colourways, all named after spring daffodils.
The Fortunes Beauty, Gracehill and Princess styles feature luxe satin with scalloped edging and frayed edges, and come in two different heel heights.

The Ella court shoe has an elegant block heel and almond toe shape, while the hero pieces Star Girl and Blazing make a bold statement with a design inspired by David Bowie.

These styles are available in two colour treatments of vibrant metallic red and electric blue or a more subtle mix of gold and silver.

The collection will be available for purchase in selected Dune stores and online.
