Rigby & Peller posts 4.7% sales increase in FY 2014

Rigby & Peller, the UK women's lingerie retailer, reported a 4.7% increase in turnover, up to £9.7m, in the year to December 31 2014. The company said that two new stores, in Harrogate and St Johns Wood, contributed £433m in sales.

Gross profit in the period was up 6.2% to £5m. During the period, Rigby & Peller lost £141k as the result of centralising the web business at the parent company Van de Velde. Van de Velde made a transfer of £1.5m to Rigby & Peller following the results.

The company, which has 10 UK stores, said it "remains committed and confident for the future and has expanded its operations and continuing to do so." It will continue to grow its business through new store openings, and is exploring possibilities through franchises.
