Multinational consumer goods company Procter & Gamble has teamed up with various players in the fashion and textile industry in support of its new P&G Future Fabrics program.

Fashion designer Giles Deacon has been appointed P&G Fabric Care’s first ever global fashion consultant. In this role, he will work with the company to create a machine-washable capsule collection which will be present at the P&G Future Fabrics event in Milan. The group has also teamed up with Preimère Vision SA – leading French trade show organizer – to share intelligence regarding the latest textile innovations and respond to future consumer issues – including garment care – related to the development of new types of fabrics and materials.

Finally, P&G brand Tide has partnered with the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) on the ‘Washable Fashion’ initiative designed to inspire and inform the fashion industry about the benefits and possibilities of integrating machine-washable fabrics into their designs.
