Première Vision: The Sourcing Connection changes dates and relocates

Published

For its second edition, The Sourcing Connection Première Vision will leave Paris' Porte de Versailles exhibition centre and will be held from 12th to 14th September at Paris' Porte de la Villette Event Center. It will not be held alongside and on the same dates as the Who's Next trade show, but will exploit the proximity with the Première Vision Paris show, scheduled from 13th to 15th September at Villepinte.

The show organiser, Première Vision SA, stated that "the rescheduling (...) [is] perfectly in sync with the collections' calendar...Given the one-day difference in the two events’ schedule, Première Vision will be offering a much greater viewing opportunity to 60,000 buyers."

The Sourcing Connection is expected to bring together between 100 and 120 garment manufacturers, selected by an industry-specific committee and certified by Veritas. Première Vision has already reported a significant presence from sub-Saharan Africa and especially from the Asia-Pacific region, featuring companies from China, Bangladesh, Pakistan, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Burma and Cambodia.

"This new concept, an addition to Première Vision's manufacturing eco-system, is focused on each company's specialisations," the organisers have stated. "The show's approach is to segment the offering by product destination (citywear, loungewear, outerwear, jeanswear, casualwear, services), allowing a greater ease in analysing the sourcing opportunities and the know-how on offer, as well as optimising the visitor's experience."

At its first edition, The Sourcing Connection brought together about sixty exhibitors from 4th to 6th September at Paris' Porte de Versailles exhibition centre, alongside the Who's Next show. The change in dates and venue is the logical follow-up to the approach and identity overhaul desired by the new owners of the former Fatex show.
