Première Vision Preview New York draws 2,722 visitors

Published
Jul 23, 2012

The New York edition of the textiles trade fair took place July 11–12. Even though attendance was slightly down compared to the dynamic 2011 session, the industry event turned in positive results, particularly through a stronger selection for men's fashion.

Some 113 companies from 16 countries attended this edition dedicated to Fall-Winter 2013/2014, an increase of 11% that was marked by a strong Italian presence as well as important Turkish and French buyers. And even if the show did not match the 3,000 visitors recorded by the 2011 summer edition, the organizer was still satisfied.

Notable were the buyers for many leading brands walking the floor. Diane Von Furstenberg, Michael Kors, Narciso Rodriguez, Gap, Calvin Klein, Guess, BCBG Max Azria, 7 For All Mankind and Ralph Lauren were some of the more prominent names.

The organizer will return to New York on July 31 and August 1 with Indigo, an event focused on textile design with around 125 exhibitors. Première Vision Preview will be back again January 15–16, together with Indigo. In the interim, the main fair, Première Vision Pluriel, will take place September 19–21 at the Parc des Expositions Villepinte.
