Première Vision launching a 2016 summer preview in Paris

Published
Jan 23, 2016

Première Vision initiative is about to shake up the fashion trade show calendar. The French organization is launching a premiere edition which will take place July 6 and 7 at the Palais Brongniart (the stock exchange), in Paris. The trade show will be dedicated to launching the autumn/winter 2017-18 collections. It will take place more than two months before the organization's leading event, Première Vision Paris, taking place September 13 to the 15.

Première Vision

“In line with the pre-collection agenda and complimentary to the Première Vision Paris schedule which targets the main collections, we want to offer creative and high-end brands, two days of inspiration, discovery, meetings and exchanges”, highlights Première Vision.

The objective is to bring together over 60 international and high-end exhibitors to the Première Vision exhibition, such as fabric and leather specialists.

The event isn’t arriving in neutral territory, however. The German trade fair, Munich Fabric Start, is pioneering its own exhibition preview, titled View, and is expected to bring together 300 collections for its next edition taking place in Munich, July 5 and 6.

The Italian exhibition, Milano Unica, also launched a first show in 2015 dedicated to pre-collections, titled Prima MU, July 1 to the 3 of last year. The exhibition brought together 66 exhibitors, mainly Italian.

This first round brought together 706 companies from the garment world for a total of 1,580 operators. According to a statement disclosed at the time by the organizers, “among the high-end clients, we saw during the exhibition brands such as Vuitton, Calvin Klein, Rinaldi, Giorgio Armani, Gucci, Hugo Boss, Max Mara, The Kooples, Paul Smith, Thomas Pink, Turnbull & Asser, Etro, Marni, Versace, Alexander McQueen.”

It goes without saying, the world of fashion and potential visitors will be very busy during the next summer holiday season.
