Philip Treacy releases book with Rizzoli

Philip Treacy is one of the most well-known milliners of this century, and has created a number of high-profile hats for the fashion industry.

Fans of his work can now admire 250 photographs of his iconic creations, which have been collected in the new book "Philip Treacy: Hat Designer", published by Rizzoli and written by Treacy himself together with Marion Hume.

The images were curated by Treacy and show both collaborations and personal relationships. The milliner has said: “Every hat I have ever made has begun in my mind as a photograph. I can see it on the model, at the right angle, before I even begin." Photographers included in the book are Patrick Demarchelier, Richard Avedon, Steven Meisel, Mario Testino, Bruce Weber, and Irving Penn.

Among the people who have worn Treacy's hats are Grace Jones and Lady Gaga, as well as the Duchesses of Cornwall and Devonshire.  He is a five-time winner of the title British Accessory Designer of the Year at the British Fashion Awards.
