Orla Kiely to open first shopping centre store at Brent Cross
Orla Kiely, the Irish fashion designer best known for her retro prints and designs, is due to open a pop-up store at Brent Cross in North London, marking her debut in a shopping centre.
Opening in August, the 2,084 sq ft pop-up will be located in mall five alongside other aspirational fashion brands including Jigsaw, AllSaints, Hobbs, Anthropologie and Reiss.
Her arrival comes amid a year of strong retailer demand at Brent Cross, with the shopping centre recently seeing upsizings from Zara, JD Sports and Fraser Hart and the recent opening of the new Rituals store.
“This letting demonstrates the continued draw of Brent Cross for leading retailers, particularly for international brands like Orla Kiely looking to expand their presence in the UK. The store will offer something different for customers that can’t be found in other centres, cementing Brent Cross’s strong appeal for shoppers and retailers alike,” said Ed Jenkins, head of UK Retail at Standard Life Investments.
Orla Kiely’s unique use of mis-matching colours and graphic print designs come to life across a range of womenswear, accessories and homeware products. The brand has stores all over the world, including New York and Korea.
