ModCloth appoints Nicolas Genest as Chief Technology Officer

Digitally native lifestyle brand ModCloth announced on Monday the appointment of Nicolas Genest as Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

 
Genest brings to the company over 15 years of experience building and leading engineering, product and data organizations across consumer, tech and online retail industries. Prior to ModCloth, he served as CTO for The RealReal, a position he held since 2013. Genest also held the CTO position at vente-privee.com in Paris and launched the company’s American joint venture with American Express.
 
At ModCloth, Genest will be based in the company’s headquarters in San Francisco and he will report directly to CEO Matthew A. Kaness.

ModCloth is currently in the middle of its IRL (In Real Life) Tour, which is a series of five pop-up shop events taking place across the US. The company is in Austin, TX this month at 249 W. 2nd Street and will head to 1626 Wisconsin Ave NW in Washington, DC in June; Pioneer Place in Portland, OR in July; Denver/Boulder, CO in August; and Pittsburgh, PA in September.
