Max Factor and Covergirl team up with Star Wars on a makeup collection

Published
Aug 14, 2015

To support the launch of the new film "Star Wars: The Force Awakens", due to open on December 18, the saga announced this week partnerships with seven well-known brands - among them beauty labels Max Factor and Covergirl.

The campaign images, released on Thursday, featured two looks inspired by the film's iconic characters, Droid and Stormtrooper, developed by Procter & Gamble's Global Creative Director, Pat MacGrath. The pictures, which were done to celebrate the creative tie-up, will be joined by four further campaign posters.

The partnership between Covergirl, Max Factor and Disney will also unveil a branded makeup collection that will include lipstick colors, mascara and nail polish.

The products, which will feature Star Wars quotes such as "May the force be with you" and "Luminous beings we are" on their containers, should hit the US market in mid-September, while limited edition items will be available at Max Factor in Europe, Asia and the United Arab Emirates from November.

Further promotional campaigns in support of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" will include partnerships with Duracell, FCA US, General Mills, HP, Subway and Verizon.
