Marina Yachting teaming up with China Outfitters

Published
Jul 15, 2015

Marina Yachting is putting its foot on the gas in China. After MCS and Henry Cotton’s in 2014, it is Marina Yachting's turn, another Italian brand held by private equity firm Emerisque, to create a joint-venture with China Outfitters Holdings Limited, via the Luxembourg company Spring, owner of the rights to the label.

The co-company, called Marina Yachting Hong Kong Limited, will be in charge of "the creation, production, marketing and selling of the Italian brand's products in Greater China (Continental China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan)," the label said in a press release.

The new company plans to launch the Marina Yachting collections in China for spring/summer 2016 and to open 200 points of sale there and its satellites by 2020.

The sailing-inspired men's and women's wear brand is already distributed in Asia. In total, it has nearly 1,000 retail points including 110 stores and multibrand shop-in-shops.
