Marie Saint Pierre launches book for 30th anniversary
A new book baptized Maison Marie Saint Pierre, en 30 tableaux launched last week online and in Canadian bookstores and chronicles the history of the Canadian luxury fashion house. As the fashion brand marks 30 years in business, the launch officially kicked off anniversary celebrations.
“I find it hard to imagine a sweeter gift to mark my company’s 30 years in the business!” the designer wrote in a news statement on her website.
Written by Radio-Canada fashion journalist Madeleine Goubau, the book is split into 30 chapters mapping important moments in time throughout the brand’s history with stories taking place in Montreal, Paris, Merida, New York, and Miami. The story was put in images by photographer Dominique Malaterre.
The Montreal-based designer is one of Canada’s most successful luxury fashion labels. The fashion house currently employs a team of over twenty craftsmen working with local manufacturers and has two retail locations in Montreal and one in Miami.
Last year, the fashion house made its first foray into menswear with the launch of a capsule collection for men.
Maison Marie Saint Pierre was founded in 1987. It is headquartered in Montreal, Quebec.
