LVMH Prize expands expert panel

While the latest edition of the LVMH Prize was launched on 6 January, organizers have just announced some new names to join the list of its expert panel. The competition is calling on 45 fashion experts to screen candidates hoping to take home the 300,000-euro grant awarded to the victor.

For the prize's second edition, 45 experts will convene in March to identify the best entries. In May, those selected will go before a panel made up of the artistic directors of the LVMH group’s brands. Eleven new names will join the expert panel this year: Emmanuelle Alt, Cathy Horyn, Suzy Menkes, Juergen Teller, Stefano Tonchi, Virginia Mouzat, Maria Luisa Poumaillou, Franca Sozzani, Susie Lau, Chiara Ferragni and Anya Ziourova

With registration still open (until February 8), LVMH has announced that it has already received nearly 700 applications from young designers. 45 is therefore not overdoing it in terms of manpower for deciding who will be selected...
