London Collections: Men announces June schedule

Published
Apr 26, 2016

On June 9th it's once again time for London Collections: Men, the British capital's men's fashion week. This time 180 The Strand, which was revealed as a new official venue in January, will be the sole hub for activity.

It is located close to Somerset House, the former official venue for the London Fashion Week, and will house the main BFC Catwalk Show Space on the ground floor for the second season. It will also be home to the BFC Presentation Space and the Designer Showrooms. The former space at Victoria House will not be used this season.

LC:M has now released the schedule for the June shows, which will begin with designer Paul Smith's celebration of 40 years of punk together with subculture photographer Derek Ridgers on June 9th, followed by the official opening on June 10th.

Among the names to look out for on the schedule is London-based conceptual menswear designer Aitor Throup, who has announced his return to London Collections Men after an absence that lasted over three years. The International Woolmark Prize British Isle nominees Liam Hodges, Cottweiler, Craig Green and Baartmans & Siegel will also show their new collections.

New designers for June include MCM who will be presenting their collaboration with Christopher Raeburn; Japanese designer Mihara Yasuhiro, Korean designer Song Zio and Ximonlee presented by GQ China.
