Lanvin confirms Bouchra Jarrar as its new Artistic Director
Mar 11, 2016
After a week of rumours, the French luxury house on Friday morning confirmed that it has appointed Bouchra Jarrar as Artistic Director of Women’s Collections via its Twitter account, which includes a link to its Instagram account where it shows a photo of the designer and the house's CEO together.
The company has been without a creative director since the departure of Alber Elbaz in October. A departure that created quite a stir, with workers at the house protesting against his removal from the company.
Jarrar, who started her own brand in early 2010, has extensive experience in the fashion world, having worked for lingerie brand Capucine Puerari, for the jewelry department of Jean Paul Gaultier and even with Nicolas Ghesquière for Balenciaga and Christian Lacroix Couture.
She will reveal her debut collection for Lanvin house for spring/summer 2017.
