L'Oréal: Barbara Lavernos appointed Chief Operating

At L'Oréal since 1996, Barbara Lavernos has just been named executive vice-president of operations She will take up her new post on November 1. She will oversee in particular sourcing, production and supply chain. At the same time, Lavernos - who succeeds Jean-Philippe Blanpain - will also join L’Oréal’s Executive Committee.

Lavernos initially joined L'Oréal as a buyer at the Aulnay factory before becoming head of purchasing at the Ormes factory for make-up and perfume. 

In 2000, she was named head of the Rambouillet factory before serving as the group’s general manager of purchasing for four years. In 2012, she was appointed general manager of the travel retail for L’Oréal Luxe and in 2013 general manager of the group’s travel retail worldwide.
