Karen Millen CEO steps down

Published
Sep 8, 2015

Karen Millen last week announced that its CEO, Mike Shearwood, has stepped down from his position. The decision was a mutual one.

Mike Shearwood steps down as CEO of Karen Millen

Shearwood served as the CEO of Karen Millen since 2007. He has parted ways from the company just after Karen Millen cancelled its plans for a management buyout. Neil McCausland, the chairman of Karen Millen, announced that he will take over Sherwood’s duties and, “will be working closely with the management team to ensure the smooth and effective running of the business until a new CEO is appointed."

Shearwood commented “It saddens me to be leaving the brand after so many years however I am confident that I leave behind an exceptional leadership team who will ensure that the repositioning of Karen Millen will continue to be a global success.”

Prior to working at Karen Millen, Shearwood served as Deputy CEO of Mosaic Fashions and CEO of Aurora Fashions.
