Chapman is a menswear fashion blogger as well as a contributing editor to GQ, and has previously worked with brands like Mulberry, Bally and Burberry. Chapman also has over 2m subscribers on YouTube and Instagram. His collaboration with John Lewis will last for six months and begins with a summer edit. Chapman will be "selecting and styling the items that catch his eye from John Lewis’ menswear collections," the retailer said.

"John Lewis is all about quality, and they encourage customer confidence. So for me, being able to work with John Lewis and place my stamp on Chapman & Lewis is really exciting,” Chapman said.

Chapman will also bring his significant social media clout to John Lewis, posting exclusive films, photo shoots, interviews and behind-the-scenes clips to the retailer's social channels.

In its latest full-year financial report, for 2015, John Lewis announced that menswear fashion sales growth in the year exceeded that of womenswear, up 8.8% compared with womenswear's 6.5% increase.
