John Elliott will debut first women's collection at NYFW

John Elliott is expanding his fashion label into womenswear and will debut his first women’s collection at NYFW in September. A representative for the California-based designer confirmed the news with Fashion Network.

According to the official NYFW calendar, Elliott will present only womenswear on Monday, February 12 at 10:00am.

John Elliott for spring 2018 traveled to Paris to show his collection instead of NYFW: Men’s. The designer said in an interview with The Impression that the move to Paris “was a business decision mixed with the fact that I love Paris,” and was inspired by his visit to the City of Light for Paris Fashion Week in February.

While many waited to hear details of a runway show, Elliott rolled out the entire spring 2018 collection on Instagram in an interactive scavenger hunt that potentially reached 20 million viewers.

John Elliott has been a part of the NYFW: Men's schedule for five seasons until this past July.
