Jaeger ramps up senior management

Published
Sep 3, 2013

British contemporary brand Jaeger has created two new creative positions as part of an attempt to boost management following a slew of departures. Lizza Webb has been appointed as womenswear director, coming from a stint at Marks & Spencer where she was head of buying. Caroline Lee has been named director of menswear and e-commerce at the brand and also joins the company from Marks & Spencer. The two will join the Jaeger executive board and will report directly to chief executive Colin Henry.

A further three appointments have been announced the company. Michaela Moore, ex-director of operations at Burberry Europe, has been named head of outlets at the brand. Kate Cornell makes the move from Glossybox to fufill the role of head of strategic planning at Jaeger. Finally, Harriet Castle - also from the cosmetics industry – will join Jaeger as head of human resources and will also sit on the board.

The brand has also announced the departure of its COO Carolyn Springett as well as Shailina Parti as brand director. Last month Jaeger said goodbye to not only its international director David Hewitt, but also chairman of the brand, Stewart Binnie.

Better Captial investment fund took a 90% stake in Jaeger in 2012 after the brand was put up for sale by its English entrepreneur owner Harold Tillman, who saved the company from bankruptcy in 2003 when he bought it out for £1 million. The brand has a network of 50 stores in the United Kingdom, with a flagship located on London’s Regent Street, and is also present via concessions at various British department stores.
