Isabel Marant opens fourth Paris boutique
Oct 18, 2012
This is not the typical Isabel Marant store that just opened its doors in Paris's 16th arrondissement on Avenue Victor Hugo. By picking a historical mansion at number 151 on the busy Parisian thoroughfare, the Parisian designer has created a beautifully spacious, three-level 230-square-meter retail store
This fourth Marant address in Paris was designed by Cigüe architects, whose concept uses vegetation both indoors and outdoors to play with the notion of inside versus outside. The minimalist white-wood-black decor positions the designer’s ready-to-wear signature line as the star of the show, along with the secondary line Etoile, accessories and footwear.
This opening brings the international store count to eleven for the Parisian designer — France, USA, Spain, Hong Kong, China, Japan and Lebanon. Marant has set a target of fifteen stores for spring-summer 2013, with upcoming openings in Shanghai, London, Seoul and Los Angeles in the next months. In addition to the label's own stores, 600 multi-brand stores around the globe also carry the line.
